Night Out Dover
The Dover Police Department will once again bring the National Night Out to the Dover community on Tuesday, August 16th from 6-8pm.
The event brings the Dover Police Department, along with several emergency agencies and military personnel to one place where the public can bring their families to meet and greet local heroes and see the equipment used in their jobs while forming a positive relationship with the community.
In addition to appearances and demonstrations by these agencies, Night Out will feature fun activities for all ages along with food and beverages for all while supplies last.
The venue for the event has been moved to the Dover High School at 1 Dover High Drive, Dover, DE.
The National Night Out provides a variety of agencies with an opportunity to show our citizens what services they provide, the vehicles and equipment they use, and a chance to interact with personnel in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Delaware Beer, Wine & Spirits Festival

Location: Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village
Description: Dover, Del. - In its 12th year, the Delaware Beer Wine and Spirits Festival will be held at the Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village on Saturday, August 27 from 4pm to 7:30 m.
The event is a long-standing Kent County tradition and is the only statewide festival that includes all of Delaware\'s alcohol producers. Craft beer, wine and spirits have always been the main attraction and in recent years meaderies have also been included.
The event features beer, wine and spirits tastings, live music, food trucks, outdoor games, vendors and special exhibits, and guided tours of the Agricultural Museum. Event will also spotlight the Delaware Beer, Wine & Spirits Trail.
The stage will be programmed with a fantastic live music lineup that features Lyric Drive and Blue Cat Blues.
VIP tickets are limited to the first 100. VIP benefits include early access (4-5pm), exclusive tastings, premium free parking, a souvenir glass for tastings, and a food truck dinner voucher.
Guests can also reserve a table of six while supply lasts. General admission and designated driver tickets are also available. There are discounts for early-bird ticket buyers.
Other features of the event include; ample free parking, vendor village and festival games. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

Historic Odessa Foundation
The Historic Odessa Foundation presents its summer art exhibition “Color Secrets: Paintings by Jan Crooker.” The exhibit of vibrant acrylic paintings by the widely exhibited Kutztown, Pennsylvania artist is on display from through August 28, in the Historic Odessa Visitor Center Gallery.
Crooker is well known for her vibrant images of still lifes, flowers, and local scenes and landscapes.

Bike the Brandywine
The Brandywine Conservancy’s “Bike the Brandywine” event will officially return for its fifth year on Saturday, September 17, 2022.
This year’s ride will feature three scenic routes that explore the beautiful Brandywine Creek Greenway and surrounding countryside.

Autism Delaware’s Blue Jean Ball
Autism Delaware’s Blue Jean Ball returns this fall – Friday Sept. 23 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center – to help support the statewide agency’s programs and services, needed now more than ever as families deal with the impacts of a pandemic that was especially difficult for those in the autism community.
Participants at the ball can look forward to a celebratory reunion, gathering with old friends to share wonderful food from prominent local restaurants; open wine and beer bars sponsored by N.K.S. Distributors; live and silent auctions; fun boardwalk-themed games including the crowd favorite, Wine Ring Toss; and of course, rocking out to the party sounds of the band Love Seed Mama Jump.

VET FEST 2022
Vet Fest 2022 will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24th from 8AM to 2PM in Middletown, Del.
The festivities will include a 5k & 10k run, parade, lunch and music.
Vet Fest is Delaware’s largest festival where we gather civilians and the military to celebrate, educate and assist the non-profit Stop Soldier Suicide. The ultimate goal of Vet Fest is to honor our veterans/actives and their families, to pass along the dignity of service to the next generation and to end the epidemic of veteran suicide in our community. This year is special as served in Afghanistan and Iraq will be honored.
